The highly anticipated Prime Minister’s International Business Awards (PMIBA) 2024 is set to be a historic event, with a record-breaking number of guests expected to attend the event.

This year’s awards ceremony, scheduled for Saturday, 30th November 2024, at Sheraton Fiji Golf and Beach Resort, promises to be a night of celebration, recognition, and inspiration.

The PMIBA, organized by Investment Fiji, is the premier business awards event in Fiji, recognizing and rewarding excellence, innovation, and sustainability in various industries.

Prime Minister, Honourable Sitiveni Rabuka said the awards honor those who have embraced the challenges and have led the charge in driving progress towards amore sustainable future.

“The Fiji Government acknowledges such businesses for their commitment to innovation and sustainability, as they contribute to national economic growth, while prioritizing environmental and social responsibility,” mentioned Hon. Rabuka.

“With the theme, “Innovation & Sustainability,” this year’s award will recognize, celebrate, and reward businesses of all sizes and across all sectors that have shown proven success through their results and have placed a special focus on reshaping their strategies for a sustainable future.”

A total of 249 applications has been received for this years Prime Minister’s International Business Awards 2024.

“We are thrilled to witness the overwhelming response to this year’s PMIBA,” said Investment Fiji Chief Executive Officer.

“The record-breaking attendance reflects the growing importance of this event in the business community and the increasing recognition of Fijian businesses on the global stage.”

Chetty further added, “The PMIBA provides a platform to celebrate the achievements of our nation’s top businesses and to inspire future generations of entrepreneurs.

“We are honored to host this prestigious event and look forward to a memorable evening.”

Attendees can expect to network with industry leaders, Government officials, and other distinguished guests.

Vice President of Network Infrastructure for Google and Chairman of the Pacific Connect Initiative, Brian Quigley, will be the Guest Speaker at this year’s Prime Minister’s International Business Awards. He will speak on the transformative power of artificial intelligence, highlighting why he believes AI is a game-changer for the future.

The Prime Minister’s International Business Awards 2024 includes four new categories: The Employer of the Year Award, the Excellence in Fisheries Award, the Excellence in Forestry Award, and the Excellence in Yasana (Provincial) Aspiration Award.

There isa total of 15 categories at this year’s event.
