Motibhai and Company Limited, a cornerstone of Fiji's economy, was acknowledged at the prestigious Prime Minister’s International Business Awards, held on November 30, 2024, at the Sheraton Fiji Golf & Beach Resort in Nadi.

The company was honored with three remarkable awards: the Executive of the Year Award, presented to Mr. Kiritbhai Patel (Chairman and CEO); the Premier Large Business Operating Internationally Award; and the Supreme Award. These recognitions not only signify Motibhai’s leadership, but also the unwavering commitment to business innovation, sustainability, and community development.

Patel expressed his deep gratitude and shared the credit with his entire team, highlighting the collective effort behind these successes.

"It is an extreme honor and a privilege to not only win one award, but three. This achievement has always been a team effort. All our companies in the group have contributed immensely to this well-deserved recognition," said Patel.

He further noted the long history of one of Motibhai’s subsidiaries, Fiji Times, which has been trading in Fiji for 156 years.

“This history has allowed our group to excel, and we are proud to see how far we have come,” he added.

Motibhai and Company’s commitment to growth is reflected in their future plans, including a major $10 million investment in a new warehouse in the northern region and an expansion of the Burger King outlet in Suva.

These projects, alongside the extension of their Proud Stores and other outlets, signal a strong trajectory for the company’s continued success.

Motibhai and Company Limited’s achievements extend beyond its growth. The company has demonstrated outstanding leadership and innovation through its diverse portfolio of businesses.

The Executive of the Year Award, sponsored by Telecom Fiji, recognized Kiritbhai Patel for his exceptional leadership, sound management practices, and ability to drive sustainable growth in his company.

The Premier Large Business Operating Internationally Award, sponsored by BSP Financial Group Limited, was awarded to Motibhai and Company Limited for its significant contributions to Fiji’s economy, its innovative business strategy, and its expanding international presence.

The Supreme Award, sponsored by Natural Waters of Viti Ltd, was presented to Motibhai and Company Limited for excelling across multiple facets of business, from job creation and innovation to social responsibility and resilience.

Investment Fiji Chief Executive Officer, Kamal Chetty, congratulated Motibhai and Company Limited on its remarkable success.
