Food Processors (Fiji) Pte Limited, win at the Prime Minister’s International Business Award was an unexpected surprise.

The state-owned enterprise, was recognized for its outstanding contribution to Fiji’s export industry, securing the Premier Medium Business Operating Internationally Award.

The team was very excited. They have worked hard, and I think this is the best way to recognize their efforts,” said Chief Executive Officer for Food Processors (Fiji) Pte Limited Raneel Krishnan Mudaliar.

Food Processors (Fiji) Pte Limited is a state-owned enterprise and we have been in existence for over four decades, and we bring local produce to our diaspora community overseas.

“Our revenues are about 60% export, 40% local, so we do business in local and export industry markets,” he said.

“One of our iconic brands is Pacific Crown, which is known by everyone. We are big in tomato sauce and chili sauce, and of one of our hero brands is Palusami.”

He also said Food Processors (Fiji) Pte Limited has plans to expand its operational base.

“We have projects running in Vanua Levu Seaqaqa, where we are establishing semi processing centers through which we will be able to access more farm produce that will go to export markets.

“And then we are expanding our collection base as well which is saturated around the Central Division, we have started moving into the western division as well,” he added.

Mudaliar said it was an honorable moment to be awarded by their line Minister, the Prime Minister Honorable Sitveni Rabuka and thanked the management team and the staff of food processors who had worked tirelessly as well as the farmers who supplied the produce.
